It’s that time of the year, Easter eggs, chocolate bunnies, etc. Always nice those Easter eggs … but they can cause nasty stains! Chocolate stains are stubborn stains. This is how you remove chocolate stains:
Do not use soap The chocolate stains got fixated if you treat them with soap and then it becomes almost impossible to remove them yet. Do not do it!
Milk dissolves the stain Here is an old trick. Pour milk over the stain, let it absorb and then wash it as usual in the washing machine.
Put white spirit on it If milk doesn’t help and it involves large stains, you can use something stronger: white spirit. Put it on a rag and gently rub the stain. Rinse it with soapy water. This can be done for example on colored linen or cotton or wool and silk.
Bleach the spot If you have stains on white cotton clothing you can also try diluted bleach.
